Brushtail is an intranet system developed for public libraries. Brushtail is an intranet system developed for public libraries, but also could be used for other applications. It is a PHP/MYSQL application that runs on open source software. Features: - Content management system allows the delegation of content editing by the intranet administrator. Content editors can create pages, add Images and documents can be uploaded. - Access control defined by the administrator as to what a user can read and edit. - Intranet content is keyword searchable. Boolean searching is supported. Search results can include content pages and uploaded documents.

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
